Snap-on® LED Hybrid 16 LED Work Light

The folks at  Snap-on® just introduced a 16 build LED Hybrid work light and flashlight that is water resistant.

The beauty of using LED’s bulbs vs. incandescent bulbs is that they run cooler, are cool to the touch and less likely to break or damage from a drop.

The tubular-shaped Snap-On LED Hybrid Light has a high-impact tube lens, a rubber molded comfort grip and a magnetic base and  a durable anodized aluminum handle and cap.

The Snap-On light has a flashlight on one end and the LED work lamp lens on the other.

Snap-On  Stockman Pocket Knife Model 5210

Snap-On Tools’ has Stockman knife with a genuine stag handle with dual brass liners for quality corrosion resistance.

This knife reminds me of my grandfathers pocket knife that he gave me and I have long since lost.

This knife is all hand assembled and finished and look it!

The handle of the 5210 is genuine Stag.  A Stag handle is a well known traditional knife handle.  It is made from Stag antler and is unique, beautiful and strong.  Stag antler is known for its deep gnarly appearance and provides a good grip on the tool.

The stockman 5210 has three convenient blade sizes;

1.   2.5″ clip point,

A clip point blade is one of the most popular knife blades.  It is designed with a thinner and sharp tip.  It is a point that is designed to puncture, slice and chop.

2.  1.375″ sheep foot, 

A sheep foot blade has a blunt tip and is useful in cutting clothing, seat belts or anything where you do not want the tip to damage or hut.

3.  1.375″ drop point .

The drop point blade has a convex curve back towards the point.  similar to a clip point this blade has a stronger point and is less suitable for piercing applications.

The Stockman 5210 uses 440 stainless steel for the blades and is truly an exceptional piece of art and a good quality and reliable pocket knife!

Snap-On recently came out with a new folding Multi-Function Knife.  While it’s bulky for a knife what you might not notice right off the bat is that this knife also is a spring loaded needle nose Plier.  The most interesting part of this multi-tool is how the pliers fold out of the tool handle.  I’ve never seen this done before in a multi-tool.

Measuring approximately  3/4 inch thick and 4 inches long, the 5314 has a single partially serrated knife blade that can be opened with one hand.

The pliers have two gripping surfaces [tight and curved jaw] and a wire cutter. The stainless-steel knife blade measures 3 1/4 inches long and is partially serrated.  It weighs 7.2 ounces.

This is truly an interesting tool.   The pliers are configured to be used one way comfortably and the handle can double as a slotted screw driver or chisel ~ I wasn’t sure.  It is not as sturdy or beefy as some of the other “plier based” multi-tools but it’s much smaller and compact. this tool is certainly is worth a second look.

Snap on used stainless steel liners and an anodized finish on other parts to resist corrosion.  I’d like to see an all stainless steel finish.
